A property-specific opportunity.

FEATURED CROP PROFILE

Corn and soybean rotations

Acquired row-crop ground with seller fertilizer records and a soil-test history is a practical starting point. Tri-State guidance supplies crop-removal context for corn, soybean, wheat and alfalfa.

CALCULATOR COVERAGE

Start with the modeled crop.

Corn grain / silage; Soybeans; Winter wheat / small grains; Hay / alfalfa.

The calculator uses the same preliminary engine as our software. Other crops can be submitted for a manual property review. A crop label does not establish qualification or recoverable value.

Crop context comes from USDA NASS. Review priorities are Ash & Acre screening judgments; the universities and USDA do not endorse this service.

MICHIGAN READINESS

Open for screening.
Evidence controls the outcome.

Start with an illustrative nutrient-value screen, then develop the field evidence needed to evaluate an attributable residual amount above crop requirements.

READINESSIntake & preliminary estimate available

Listed calculator crops are available now. Other crops need individual agronomic review.

INITIAL FIT CHECKTarget: 2–5 business days

After core property facts arrive. Sampling, laboratory work, agronomy and tax review determine the full case schedule.

STRONGER FITAcquired productive acres with records

Field history, prior applications, acquisition documents and parcel soil evidence support the investigation.

MICHIGAN OPPORTUNITY PROFILES

Where we would
start the review.

These are reasons to investigate a property. Final qualification and value depend on its evidence.

01

Corn and soybean acres

Match actual yields and rotations to P/K removal, prior applications and acquisition timing.

02

Wheat and alfalfa

Separate grain, straw and hay removal; each changes the nutrient balance.

03

Orchard and fruit blocks

Block records, soil and tissue results support a manual review beyond the calculator crop scope.

04

Dry beans and other specialties

Request individual crop assessment using fertilizer records and representative field sampling.

EVIDENCE TO GATHER

Build the file
around the land.

Deed and purchase records, field boundaries, acquisition date, prior crop and fertilizer history, manure and irrigation records, soil tests and actual harvest/removal information.

MICHIGAN WATCHOUT

Lake-region sandy soils and heavier soils have different soil-test interpretation needs. Grain-based illustrations cannot substitute for silage or specialty-crop evidence.

Our agronomist evaluates the attributable residual supply. Our consulting CPA and your CPA determine any supported allocation, recovery method and filing amount.

FROM POTENTIAL TO SUPPORT

What the estimate can tell you.

The calculator illustrates potential nutrient value using limited property facts and explicit crop scenarios. It does not measure your soil or automatically subtract a verified crop baseline. Professional review establishes crop requirements, natural supply, prior-owner attribution and what was present at acquisition.

Crop uptake and nutrient losses can reduce remaining supply over time. The screening engine uses provisional carryover assumptions; parcel evidence determines the actual depletion pattern. Your CPA determines whether and how any supported amount is recoverable. The recoverable portion may be lower or zero.
